Please join us in welcoming Courtney Long, Ph.D. to My Class Gift, LLC as Director of Business Development and Class Gift Consultant. We are delighted to have Courtney in this new role and are certain she will make an immediate impact and a real difference in the world of alumni giving.
Before arriving at My Class Gift, Courtney served as Director of Development for the Pittsburgh Oratory. She is certified in executive religious fundraising from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and Lake Institute on Faith and Giving. Courtney also holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from Mount Holyoke College, as well as a master’s and Ph.D. in the history of art and architecture from the University of Pittsburgh.
Courtney brings 9 years of experience in higher education and a passion for learning and analytical thinking to My Class Gift – passions that we believe will work together to help foster institutional growth. With a strong record of academic and fundraising achievement in university and nonprofit settings, Courtney has a unique understanding of the needs of students, alumni, and institutions. She also knows a lot about art and architecture and would be a great guide for any city, museum, or campus tour!
Founded in 2016, My Class Gift’s mission is to transform and renew higher education alumni giving through a unique and innovative crowdfunding platform and senior class gift model. Courtney will help immensely in this effort by building awareness of the My Class Gift model and platform and working with new and existing clients to improve alumni participation rates and long-term giving commitment. And at the end of the day, she will undoubtedly help raise a lot more money for incredibly important institutions.
